Our Pastor

St. Paul Church of Epleyanna is pleased to welcome Pastor Scott Naevestad, his wife Sue and their family to our family of faith.

Pastor Scott comes to us after serving 19 years at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Green Bay, Wisconsin, first as Youth Pastor, then pastor of family life and discipleship and, finally, senior pastor.  Prior to that, he served as Youth Pastor and AssistantPastor at a United Methodist Church in New Fairfield, Connecticut for a total of 8 years.

A full-blooded Norwegian, Pastor Scott admits to knowing more than a few words in the language.  He graduated from high school in Fanwood, New Jersey, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Sciences from Nyack College in Nyack, New York.  After that, he served as a missionary in Kenya for two years, then attended Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, New York upon his return.

Scott and Sue have been married for 26 years, having known each other since high school.  They have two sons: Kyle, a senior at Rochester Institute of Technology majoring in film and animation, and Todd, a sophomore at Taylor University majoring in professional writing.
