4/17/2011   Confirmands give their Statement of Faith during morning worship.

The Awana, Confirmation and Women’s Choir meetings scheduled for Wednesday (Feb. 2nd) are CANCELED due to the dangerous blizzard conditions.

Sunday, April 26th will be Confirmation Sunday here at St. Paul. There are just two confirmands this year, so we will be having their Faith Statements that day as well as celebrating together their first communion. Our 2009 confirmands are Dustin Barnes and Lukas Wymer. Please plan to be in attendance for this special service.

Confirmation meeting schedule for March:

• March 1st at 5:30 pm
• March 8th at 5:30 pm
• March 15th at 5:30 pm
• March 29th at 5:30 pm

Confirmation:

• January 4, 2009 at 5:30pm.
• January 11, 2009 at 5:30pm.
• January 25, 2009 at 5:30pm.

On Sunday, May 4th, St. Paul Church of Epleyanna welcomed 5 young people into our Family of Faith. Please continue to pray for these young people as they continue their walk of faith.

We would also like to thank the mentors for their hard work and dedication to these young people. You have given of yourself and have made na impact on the lives of these 5 confirmands! Thank you!

Confirmation Sunday is set for May 4th at the 10:00 AM service. This service is one of the most important services we have all year. It is on this day that we witness the commitment of our eighth grade confirmands to Jesus Christ and His church.

Confirmation is a completion of the baptismal rite. At baptism, we ask parents, sponsors, and the congregation in the name of a child to rear the child in faith. Confirmation gives the young person the opportunity to confirm what was said in his or her name at baptism. It is a sacred moment.
