Help needed for Fellowship Hall prep for Awana

The Awana staff is looking for a few people that would be willing to get the Fellowship Hall ready for Awana each Wednesday and then set it back up for Sunday. This entails taking tables down and arranging chairs. If you would be willing to help out in the way, please give April a call in the church office and she can give you further details.

AWANA News

Calling all girls and boys age 2 thru 6th grade! Come enjoy our AWANA club nights and join in the fun! We will meet each Wednesday now through the middle of March 2012.  This year we will enjoy many more theme nights with activities that are related to the theme.

The most important part is the power your children will experience as they hide God’s Word in their hearts, learning to know, love, and serve our Savior!

Please call the church if you have any questions and also to obtain a registration form for your child! Visitors from your neighborhood, school, or community are welcome. Children work at their own pace to complete their activity books and then join together for game time! Please come and check it out!!

AWANA starts at 6 p.m. and finishes at 7:30!

Don’t miss it!

AWANA Wrap-up

Thanks to all who came to celebrate our AWANA year with our leaders and students. We especially appreciate the dedication of the parents and grandparents who invested the energy and effort to bring these beloved young people week after week and our large group of committed volunteers who invested so much energy and faith into the goal of the AWANA club — which is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him! We have had a fruitful year, with many enthusiastic and active young people age 3 thru 6th grade, and it is a joy to see them grow in their knowledge of the WORD and love for the Lord.

Following is a list of those volunteers that helped throughout the year:

  • Piggies: Adam, Christina and Jan Boyer, Barb Leifheit
  • Cubbies: Pat Smith, Diane Meinert
  • Sparks: Sally Kuhlmeier, Vicki Thomas, April Zettle
  • T & T: Mary Gallagher, Shirley Goeke, Connie Marty, Jean Bechtold, Joanne Meinert, Diane Schurch, Jim Kleckner
  • Game Leaders: Duane Schurch, Paul Babler
  • Leaders in Training: Heather Niedermeier, Maycee Zettle, Stephon Terpstra
  • General Secretary: Amy McKee
  • General Help: Fred Smith, Russ Ellis, Carol Olsen, Fred Meinert, Pastor Dick
  • Commander: Deanna Babler

Thank you so much!

If you will be attending the Pizza Party, please sign up on the bulletin board or let Deanna Babler, Diane Schurch or the church office know so that we will be sure to have enough pizza for everyone!
