Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. — 2 Peter 3:18

Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child Boxes

Cassie Wymer will be heading up this project again this year.

Operation Christmas Child is a fun and rewarding project for missions-minded churches and organizations that want to share the love of Jesus Christ with suffering children around the world. Since 1993, this project has shared the Good News of God’s love with children through the simplest of gifts — shoe boxes! Filled with school supplies, toys, and personal items, these boxes help introduce children to Jesus Christ and give them a Christmas that they never would have had. Operation Christmas Child is a project through Samaritan’s Purse whose president is Franklin Graham, which provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on mission project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas: Jesus Christ, God’s greatest gift.

There will be a drop off spot in the Narthex to put the boxes that you bring. There will also be a donation box and other collection boxes if you would like to just donate different items. Dollar store items work very well, too. Whatever you choose, thank you. You are helping to reach out to children who may otherwise not have a Christmas. There will also be brochures and check off lists if you are unsure about what to put into a box. If you have any questions, feel free to call Cassie Wymer, or April (at the Church Office). All donations and/or boxes are due by November 9th.
