Women’s Fellowship meeting – May
Pat Smith was worship leader at the May meeting of Women’s Fellowship, beginning a study of the Old Testament book of Ruth. Ruth, a Moabitess, married a son of Naomi and Elimelech of Bethlehem. The family had moved to the land of Moab to escape a famine in the Holy Land. After Elimelech and his two sons all died, Naomi and her two daughters-in-law were all widowed. Orpah returned with her mother-in-law, Naomi to Bethlehem, there to become the great-grandmother of King David, and an ancestor of our Lord.
