The Church Council has approved the offering for June 22nd to be designated to Thomas and Rhonda Curry, missionaries to India. The Curry’s will speak during worship on August 17th. Following is more information about the Curry’s:
Thomas and Rhonda Curry are scheduled for deployment to India this coming September. Sponsored by contributing individuals and churches, they will be under the supervision of two mission agencies – Friends of Hope and OMS International.
The Currys have been involved with Christian missions in India since 1991. In 1998 they assisted with the starting of Hope Home, a home for destiture children in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Thomas is an ordained minister with the Conservative Congregation Christian Conference having pastored two churches in twenty-seven years of ministry. Recently, he completed an M.A. in Global Development through William Carey International University. His book God’s Heart for the Nations, is used widely throughout India in the training of Christian workers. He has coordinated many missions conferences and pastor conferences, having received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from the India Bible Institute, New Delhi, in 1995.
